The righteousness that makes a Christian acceptable to God is the true righteousness that comes by faith and that is revealed in the works one does. There are people who appear to be righteous but are not right with God because although their works appear to be good, their hearts are filled with evil. Those who are truly righteous are heard by God and will receive eternal life.
||[Jesus said] But seek first
the kingdom of God and His
righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
|| Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness,
righteousness, and truth
||Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
that you put on the new man which was
created according to God, in true
righteousness and holiness.
be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is
from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the
righteousness which is from God by
the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all
men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and
worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly
in the present age,
do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness
to sin, but present yourselves to God as
being alive from the dead, and your members as
instruments of righteousness to God.
||Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In
truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But
in every nation whoever fears Him and works
righteousness is accepted by Him."

||Little children, let no one deceive you.
He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as
He [God] is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
||Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

||For the eyes of the LORD are on
the righteous, And His ears are open to their
prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.

righteousness, and seeking to establish their own
righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of

to everyone who believes....For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is

to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like
whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but
inside are full of dead men's bones and all
uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear
righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and
||"When the Son of Man comes in His glory,
and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the
throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered
before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a
shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will
set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then the King will say to those on His right hand,
'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared
for you from the foundation of the world: for I was
hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me
drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked
and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in
prison and you came to Me.' Then the righteous will
answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed
You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a
stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or
when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to
You?' And the King will answer and say to them,
'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the
least of these My brethren, you did it to
Me.' Then He will also say to those on the left
hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire
prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry
and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no
drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked
and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not
visit Me.' Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord,
when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked
or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' Then
He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you,
inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these,
you did not do it to Me.' And these will go away into
everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal
